Eleanor M. “Ellie” Conneely-Shaffer

Conneely – Shaffer, Eleanor M. “Ellie” ( Walsh) of Hull, died on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 surrounded by her family. The beloved wife of James M. Shaffer of Hull. Loving mother of Kathleen McLaughlin and her husband Marty of Weymouth, Maureen Conneely of Hull, Eileen Conneely of Weymouth, Sean Conneely and his wife Kristin of Hull , Kevin Conneely and his wife Ana of Worcester and the late Patrick Conneely and his wife Shelly of Newport ,NC. Step Mother of Michael Shaffer of Hull, Jimmy Shaffer of Plainville, Patrick Shaffer of Hull and Cheryl Probst of FL. Sister of Martin Walsh of NH and Frank Walsh of Dorchester and the late Bernadette O’Malley. Cherished grandmother of Patrick Thomas Conneely, Brenna & Liam Conneely , Sean & Kathryn McLaughlin. Ellie is also survived by 10 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ellie grew up in Mission Hill, she devoted her life to raising and loving her children and family. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and devoted women who meant the world to her family. Ellie will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers,donations in memory of Ellie may be made to the Patrick Thomas Conneely Scholarship Fund c/o Hingham Institute for Savings, 401 Nantasket Ave., Hull, MA 02045.
