Eleanor M. (Cray) Butler, of Braintree, died April 9, 2013.
Eleanor was born and raised in Boston. She graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls and later took a position with the Bank of Boston where she worked for more than 20 years, retiring back in 1997. Eleanor had a love of music and enjoyed dancing. She was a member of St. Ann’s choir in Wollaston. She loved walking, especially at the beach. The true focus of her life was her family and her faith. She was devoted to both. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Loving mother of Janet Lund and her husband Fred of Weymouth, Stephen A. Butler of Brockton, Lynda M. Bradley and her husband Mike of Taunton, George F.X. Kintz and his wife Marsha of Brockton and the late Robert E. Butler. Sister of Lynda P. Payne of Holliston and the late Eugene S. Cray, Jr. and Robert F. Cray. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to Royal Rehabilitation of Braintree, Residents Counsel Fund, 95 Commercial Street, Braintree, MA 02184 .
