Eleanor L. D’Arrigo

Eleanor L. (Murray) D’Arrigo, RN, BS, MA, age 90, of Weymouth, formerly of Brockton, died at South Shore Hospital on June 16, 2016. She was the wife of the late John E. D’Arrigo.

Mrs. D’Arrigo retired from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health with a Master’s Degree in Nursing Rehabilitation.  She worked many years as a nursing instructor, teaching nursing students and as an In-service Educator.  She also was a consultant for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.

She is survived by stepchildren John E. D’Arrigo, Jr. and his wife Catherine of North Stonington, CT, Kenneth J. D’Arrigo and his wife Beverly of East Bridgewater, MA, Janice M. Harvey of Mashpee, MA, sister Kathleen McDonough of Chicago, IL.  She is preceded in death by her stepson, the late Joseph A. D’Arrigo.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Weymouth on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad St., Weymouth, MA at 10:30 AM. Interment following the Mass will be private.
