Eleanor J. Rogers

Rogers, Eleanor June (Flynn) of Rockland, formerly of South Boston and Quincy, died September 25, 2012. Beloved wife of John K. “Jack” Rogers, Sr. Ret. B.P.D. of Rockland. Daughter of the late Charles W. Flynn and Theresa and Thomas Devine. Loving mother of Kimberly Flaherty and her husband Paul of Quincy, Christine Lee and her husband James of Weymouth, Paul J. Tyrell and his wife Christine of Weymouth and John K. Rogers, Jr. B.P.D. and his wife Lynne of Pembroke. Sister of Denise Grady of Wakefield, Michael Flynn of St. Louis, Stephen Flynn of TX, Owen and Toros Flynn and Lisa Broussard all of South Boston and the late Charles and Richard Flynn. Eleanor was the former wife of the late Paul Tyrell. Cherished grandmother of Conor and Coleman Flaherty, John Allen, James and Christopher Lee, Sean and Lauren Tyrell, Olivia, Emily and Jacqueline Rogers and the late Meghan Flaherty. Eleanor is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. Eleanor’s family was the cornerstone of her life, she lived vicariously through her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass in St. Agatha’s, Milton, at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to St. Jude Children’s research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
