Brean, Eldon F. of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester & Somerville, October 4, 2003. Beloved husband of Mary “Jean” (Thomson) Brean. Loving father of Virginia Duffy of Brockton, Eldon Brean of Abington, David Brean of Marshfield, Richard Brean of Quincy and Katherine Marsters of Plymouth. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Mr. Brean worked for the MBTA as a Red Line collector and a bus driver on the South Shore. Before that, he worked for Eastern Mass Railway. During WWII, he served in the Army. For many years during his retirement, his wife and he spent winters in Vero Beach, FL. He enjoyed bowling with his wife and was a big Red Sox fan.Donations in memory of Mr. Brean may be made to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, 3 Edgewater Dr., Norwood, MA 02062.
