Fronduto, Elda (Federico) of North Quincy, died February 21, 2019.

The beloved wife of 61 years to Pasquale A. Fronduto of North Quincy. Loving mother of Nicholas A. Fronduto and his wife Christine of Tewksbury, Elizabeth E. Fronduto Allen and her husband Richard of Canton, and Teresa Pontbriand and her husband Steven of Bridgewater. Sister of the late Adelia DiCenso and Emilia Federico. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Patrick, Isabella, Rachael and Matthew.

Elda was born in Sulmona, Italy and came to the United States when she was 13, settling in Boston’s North End. Elda was a former seamstress at Oxford Drapery in South Boston. She was innovative, teaching herself to cook, knit and make any flower arrangement beautiful. Elda was very proud of her Italian heritage. The cornerstone of her life was her family; they were all that was truly important to her. She will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday morning from 8:30-10:00 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, Quincy. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
