Elaine (Rouse) Poplawski of Quincy, formerly of Somerville died February 23, 2017. Beloved wife of the late John T. Poplawski. Loving mother of Janet Stanton and her husband Stephen of Quincy, John Poplawski and his wife Deborah of Norton, Judith Poplawski of Wakefield, James Poplawski and Mary Juliano of Watertown and Jay Poplawski and his companion Sarah Camacho of Westford. Mother in Law of Sherry Parsons Poplawski of FLA. Sister of Carolyn Minton of NH and Irving Rouse of Lynn. She is the cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine is a longtime Quincy resident and enjoyed her time she spent at The Moorings in Squantum. She was a member of the Polish American Woman’s Auxillary in Cambridge. Every year Elaine participated in the Quincy Senior Olympics. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and was an avid card player. What was most important in her life was her family, she cherished each of them. They are grateful for all the blessings she brought into their lives. Elaine will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday from 9-10am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.
Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elaine may be made to Autism Speaks, 1 East 33rd Street, 4th Floor, New York, New York, 10016.
