Meade, Elaine (Carroll) of Quincy November 12, 2006. Wife of the late Thomas F. Meade. Loving mother of Thomas F. Meade, III of Quincy, Carol Gillon of Middleboro, Patricia Fatseas of Quincy, Linda Crotty of Bridgewater, Anne Meade of East Bridgewater and Teresa Zais of Braintree. Devoted grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Loving aunt to 51 nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Mrs. Meade worked through the mid 1990’s at MA General Hospital in the Ambulatory Care Center for Dr. Wyman and earlier as a medical secretary for the fracture service. Previously, she worked from home typing medical manuscripts while raising her family. While living in Harrisburg, PA from 1973 to 1878, she worked at the Harrisburg Hospital. She graduated from Rosary Academy High School in Watertown and earned her associates degree from Boston University. A life long learner, she loved classical music, playing the piano, reading, travel and history. She maintained an extensive collection of films and documentaries. Most of all, she devoted her life to her family and will be remembered as a great Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Meade may be made to Fr. Bill’s Place, 38 Broad St., Quincy, MA 02169.
