Elaine M. Dawson (Wolfe) 88 of North Weymouth, died on Thursday May 2, 2013 in the home in which she was born and spent her entire life. When she passed away she was surrounded by her loving daughter Valerie Bourret, her son in law David and their daughters Elizabeth & Victoria.
Mrs. Dawson was a hairdresser and homemaker. She was the youngest of nine children of Phillip and DaisyWolfe. Phillip was a former Fire Chief in Weymouth. Elaine enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, BINGO and babysitting her granddaughters when they were children. She was a long standing member of the Eastern Star, Unity Club and supporter of the Unitarian Universalist Church of North Weymouth.
Mrs. Dawson was pre-deceased by her late husband of 55 years, Merrial A. Dawson, U.S.Navy WWII veteran. In addition to her daughter Valerie and her family, Mrs. Dawson is also survived by her son C. William Dawson and his children Brian and Rebecca. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 12 Noon prior to the Funeral Service in the Unitarian Universalist Church of North Weymouth, 83 Sea Street, North Weymouth, Monday at 1 PM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in memory of Mrs. Dawson may be made to the Salvation Army, 6 Baxter Street, Quincy, MA 02169 or the Shore Shore Visiting Nurse Assoc. 100 Bay State Drive, Braintree, MA 02184 or to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
