Elaine G. Rizzo

Rizzo, Elaine G. (Fusco) of Quincy, died December 23, 2015. 

Elaine was born in the North End of Boston and later moved to Somerville. She graduated from Somerville High School and completed a secretarial certificate program at Fisher College.  She was employed as an executive secretary by First National Stores.  After marrying, she stayed home to raise her 6 children.  She was a member of the Pin-ups Bowing League of North Quincy and the Merrymount Association.  She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, hosting parties, crafts, gardening and music.  During the summer, Elaine enjoyed trips to Mashnee Village on Cape Cod with her family and friends.  She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for her creativity, warm hospitality and fabulous cooking.  

Pre deceased by her devoted husband of 63 years Louis Rizzo.  Beloved mother of Eloise “Elly” Papile of Hingham, Karen Savino and her husband James of Nahant, Therese Nicklas and her husband Gerald of Quincy, Louis J. Rizzo of Sandwich, Dean Rizzo and his wife Barbara Anglin of Plymouth and the late Lisa M. Rizzo.  Caring mother in law to the late Robert E. Papile.  Devoted grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Pre-deceased by grandchildren Tyler Brack, Acacia Rizzo-Cugno and Joel Rizzo.  Loving sister of Anthony Fusco of Stoneham and the late Louise Hallisey and Joyce Maines. Pre deceased by her life-long friend Ann Antonuzzi.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, December 29^th from 9–11 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 12. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. 

Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to Hospice of the South Shore or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
