Elaine G. Barer

Barer, Elaine G. (Blake) of Taunton, formerly of Quincy, passed away June 27, 2018.

Elaine was born in Quincy to the late John and Gladys Blake. She retired from Newton Wellesley Hospital and also worked as a medical assistant at Quincy City Hospital. Elaine had a great love for animals; especially Hamlet and Ratty. She also loved to dance and spend time with her family.

Beloved wife of 26 years to Howard Barer. Loving sister of Thomas Blake, James Blake, Patricia Miller, Kathleen Tusi, John Blake, Carol McArthur, Debra Pomar, Robert Blake and Donna DiSalvio. Cherished aunt to many generations of nieces and nephews. Daughter in law of Shirley and Melvin Barer. Sister in law of Stuart and his wife Kathleen and Brian Barer. Predeceased by her siblings; Barbara Nigro, Mary Sturgeon, Joan Conti and Paul Blake. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 1-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 4 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.
