Eileen M. (Joyce) Rodgerson of Naples, FL and formerly of Quincy, MA passed away suddenly on July 18.

Eileen and her son Paul were in the process of moving back to Massachusetts.  Eileen was the beloved mother of Joyce M. Gillespie and her husband John of Squantum, Stephan J. Rodgerson and partner Janice Dolan of Readville, Brian P. Rodgerson of N. Quincy and Daytona Beach FL, Janet E. Doe and her husband Bruce of Naples FL, and Paul F. Rodgerson of Naples FL and N. Quincy.  She is also survived by her grandchildren John F. Gillespie, III and wife Beth Dunigan of S. Boston, Terrance J. Gillespie of Squantum, Taylor E. Doe of  Naples, FL and S. Boston and Molly M. Doe of Naples, FL and S. Boston.  Also is survived by two great grandchildren, Jordan M. Gillespie of Chicago, IL and Kayla McMahon of Quincy.  Eileen was the daughter of Margaret and Patrick Joyce of S. Boston, and her deceased sisters Peggy Shea of Squantum, Mary Murphy of Squantum, and the late Patrick Joyce of Weymouth.

Eileen was also one of the original Meter Maids of Boston and she also worked for The MA Racing Commission.  She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and N.E. Patriots and anything to do with her beloved Boston!  Eileen was a single parent who brought up her five children on her own.  She leaves a legacy of love and strength to her family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, August 1, from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eileen may be made to Gavin Foundation, Development Department, 675 E 4th St., Boston, MA 02127.
