Eileen C. (Morris) Gaudiano

Eileen (Morris) Gaudiano, 89, of Weymouth, MA, died peacefully on Monday, surrounded by her loving family.

Daughter of the late Alfred T. and Adela (Morin) Morris.  Born on December 31, 1930 in Dorchester MA, Eileen attended St. Gregory’s School in Dorchester, and graduated from Girl’s High School in Boston, and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston.

Eileen worked for the Weymouth Housing Authority and retired from the Weymouth Public Works Department.

She loved the holidays and cherished family gatherings.  She found great joy in the friendship of neighbors, spending time with her family – especially her 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  Ever compassionate and thoughtful, Eileen never failed to remember birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, graduations and special occasions.  She was very proud of her eldest grandson, the late Sgt. Andrew K. Farrar Jr., USMC.

Her constant smile and gentle laugh were comfort to all who knew her.  She particularly enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and preparing desserts for others.  Eileen had a talent for painting and her artworks are treasured gifts to cherish.

In addition, Eileen was a long-time member of St. Jerome’s choir and a participant in many of their variety shows.

Eileen is survived her daughters Claire Farrar and husband Andrew of Weymouth, MA, Jeanne McDermott and husband Steven of Weymouth, MA, Susan Peerson and husband Dwight of Amesbury, MA, Eileen Malone and husband Jay of Weymouth, MA, Sons Edward Gaudiano and wife Ellen of Methuen, MA, David Gaudiano and wife Cindy of Buxton, ME, Peter Gaudiano and wife Cathy of Weymouth, and Marc Gaudiano of Weymouth.

She is the sister of Ralph Morris and wife Jeanne of Wrentham, MA, Richard Morris and wife Debbie of Reading, MA, the late Alfred Morris of Marshfield, MA, and the late Stephen Morris of Dorchester, MA.

Services will be private because of current restrictions of public gatherings.
