Eileen B. (Burrow) Sturgis

Sturgis, Eileen B. (Burrow) of Maine, formerly of North Weymouth died December 28, 2013. 

Eileen was born Hull, England before moving to Weymouth at the age of 5.  Eileen was a stay at home mother, who cared for her handicap youngest daughter while teaching pre-school for 25 years.  She also worked as a tailor from home for 62 years.  Eileen was a strong and devoted member of the Pilgrim Congregation Church in Weymouth, where she also became the treasurer for over 30 years.  She later became a volunteer at the Whipple Center and enjoyed helping those in need.  She will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.  

Pre deceased by her husband Ernest C. Sturgis.  Beloved mother of Joan Keating of Whitman, Joyce Dowling of Casco, ME, Laura Sturgis of Cohasset and the late Elizabeth McCarthy.  Devoted grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 12. Loving sister of Ethel Holt of Northpoint, FL, Jean Pillsbury of Whitman and the late Henry Burrow.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM in McDonald Funeral Home NORTH Weymouth. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
