Edythe Walsh at 93

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our loving Mother Edythe Walsh.

Born on January 28, 1930 to Roger and Bertha (Alden) MacIver. She peacefully left this world on September 30, 2023.

Edythe grew up on Myrtle St in North Quincy where she met her late husband William P. Walsh, her high school sweet heart.  They were married on September 11, 1949 and resided in North Quincy where they started to raise their young family.  They moved from there and resided in Billerica and Rockland before moving to Hull in 1958 where they settled and raised their 10 children.  Edythe was a loving wife and Mother to all her children. She was a loving and caring grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Edythe and her late husband enjoyed traveling and they had many great adventures throughout the U.S, Europe, and Canada After his passing she continued to enjoy traveling with other family members.   She loved Broadway Musicals going to the theater in Boston and in New York City.  She also enjoyed playing Tennis with her friends, and enjoyed going to all her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.  Edythe loved to cook, making big meals for her large family and friends.  Holidays were her favorite, especially Thanksgiving. Edythe was proud of her Alden Family heritage.   Her Great Grandfather was the last of the Duxbury Alden’s to live in the Alden home before it was ultimately sold to the Alden Kindred.
