Edwin D. Amoroso

Amoroso, Edwin D. of Weymouth, died August 21, 2014.

Beloved husband of the late Helen (Trubiano) Amoroso. Loving father of Edwin “Slugger” of Weymouth, Rita Rice and her husband James of Weymouth, Karen Parham and her husband Billy of Weymouth.  Cherished papa of Michael  Rice  and his wife Maria of Weymouth, Lauren Rice of Braintree, Alexa and Olivia Parham both of Weymouth. Great papa of Olivia, Anna, Matthew and Thomas. Brother of the late Louise Sheehan, Frank Amoroso, and Philomena Elliott-Maglione.  Eddie was also an important caregiver in the lives of Michael and Elizabeth Hanratty.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Amoroso was born and educated in Weymouth.  He lived most of his life in both Weymouth and Quincy.  Eddie worked in the Women’s clothing industry for many years before retiring.  After retirement he continued working for Lombardo’s in Randolph.  He was a true family man.  He cherished his time with his children and grandchildren who were the cornerstone of his life. He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
