Edward W. “Archie” Malley

Malley, Edward W. “Archie” of Braintree, formerly of Weymouth, and Savin Hill where he was raised, died July 31, 2014.

He worked for many years for the New England Telephone Company as a cable splicer. Archie was a member of the Weymouth Elks and also the Braintree Moose and VFW. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was a member of the Sand Trap Men’s Club. Archie also loved listening to Irish Music, travelling to Florida, spending time with his family and grandchildren, and loved all local sports teams.

Husband of Carole D. Malley and the late Helen Malley.

Father of Karen M. MacDonald of Weymouth, Edward W. Malley, Jr and his wife, Paula, of Rockland, Kathy Ann Schmitt and her husband, Paul, of Weymouth, John F. Malley of Rockland, and Stephen A. Malley and his wife, Donna, of Pembroke. Brother of Fr. Vernon J. Malley, O.Carm, of Tuczon, AZ and the late Kathleen F. McLaughlin, Fr. John E. Malley, O.Carm, Joyce Ann Malley and Nora V. Byrnes. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
