Edward T. Whelan

Edward T. Whelan, of North Attleboro, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Heritage Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Smithfield, Rhode Island. He was 69.

Edward was born in Boston on July 3, 1954, and was the son of the late Robert J. and Clare (Ganley) Whelan.

Edward enlisted into the United States Air Force on June 12, 1974, and was honorably discharged on January 28, 1980.

Edward was the brother of Regina M. Hines and her husband George of S. Weymouth, Anne Urichuk and her late husband Bill of Quincy, James Whelan of Attleboro, Gerald Whelan and his wife Deborah of N. Attleboro, Roberta Whelan of Attleboro, Clare Fletcher and her husband John of Weymouth, Lawrence Whelan, Pamela Czerwonka and her husband Dean of W. Bridgewater, Sean Whelan and his wife Michele of Massachusetts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 9-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

His funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.

Services will conclude with interment and military honors on Milton Cemetery, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Edward’s name to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs by clicking here.
