Edward T. “Ed” Gibbons

Gibbons, Edward T. “Ed” of Hull, June 29, 2010. Beloved husband of Mary E. (Adduci) Gibbons of Hull. Son of the late Charles and Margaret Gibbons. Devoted father of Kristine Shipps and her husband Chris of Hull, Kevin Gibbons and his wife Erin of Hull, Colleen Gibbons of Quincy, Erin Ritchie of Quincy, Jennifer Concannon and her husband Mark of Hull and Stephen Gibbons of Hull. Loving Poppy of Kaitlin, Kelsey, Declan, Maeve, Braeden and Cali. Ed was born in Boston and grew up and educated in Mission Hill. Ed served in the USMC from 1964-1966 and was honorably discharged. Ed worked for Boston Edison/ NStar as a Contract Work Inspector for 45 years before retiring earlier this year. Ed was a member of the VFW in Hull. He loved spending time at home with his wife Mary, children and grandchildren. Ed especially enjoyed the weekends, his crossword puzzles and going out to breakfast with his family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday, July 06, 2010 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday, July 07, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s name may be made to the Denise Dolan Memorial Fund, PO Box 4, Hull, MA 02045.
