Edward T. Dunne

Dunne, Edward T. Jr. of Braintree, died on April 16, 2012, he was 91. The beloved husband of 63 years to Jilda G. (Bernardi) Dunne of Braintree. Cherished father of Edward T. Dunne, III and his wife Kathy of Franklin, Patricia M. Dunne of Quincy and Robert W. Dunne of Weymouth. Brother of Jeanne Kinchla of Falmouth and Frank Dunne of South Carolina and the late Mary Dell, Anne Curran, Paul, John and Frederick Dunne. Loving grandfather of Michael E. Dunne and Stephen E. Dunne both of Franklin. Ed was a proud World War II Army veteran. He worked as an accountant for many years. A talented musican, Ed found great enjoyment in music. During the big band era, Ed toured the country as a professional Saxophone player with big bands. The essence of his life was his family, he was devoted to them and in return they adored him. He will be remembered for his unconditional love, he was always there for his family. Ed will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock St. Quincy on Thursday at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Edward may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
