Edward R. Tausevich

Mr. Edward R. Tausevich, of Braintree, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on August 16, 2023. He was 93.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia M. (Glynn). Loving father of Marilyn T. Gammon and her husband, David, of East Bridgewater and Joanne Harrington and her husband, John, of Moultonboro, NH. Cherished grandfather of Nicole Healy and her husband, Brendan of East Bridgewater, Brett Gammon of South Boston, Scott Harrington of Moultonboro, NH, and Danielle Harrington of  Manchester, NH. Great Grandfather of Bennett and Addison Healy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ed had lived in Braintree for over 70 years with his late wife Patricia and was a devoted father to his two daughters, Marilyn and Joanne. He served in the Army and was a proud veteran. He was a founding member of Saint Clare’s Parish and remained very active with St. Clare’s throughout his life as a daily communicant, eucharistic minister, and member of the Holy Name Society. He was also an avid bowler and a member of the church bowling league for many years. Ed loved to travel, especially with his entire family, including many Caribbean cruises and his annual birthday celebration weekend in New Hampshire. Early in his life he had a passion for flying. He got his single engine pilot license and took many family members for short plane rides. He enjoyed gardening and was well-known for growing the best beefsteak tomatoes. He was an animal lover, especially cats. He cared for generations of feral cats in his backyard over the years. His own cats, Lucky, Buddy and Chippi were so special to him. Many referred to him as the “cat whisperer.”

Ed’s pride and joy was his beautiful family and most especially his four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He loved taking them to his woodworking shop and building everything from wooden toys to school projects. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Monday from 9 AM-10:30 AM  in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So.
