Higgins, Edward M. of Quincy August 26, 2004. Loving husband of Josephine P. (D’Angelo) Higgins of Quincy. Father of Edward P. Higgins, Ellie M. Higgins and her husband William G. Reidy. Survived by 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 3 sisters. Funeral services and interment were private. Married for 57 years. Enjoyed bowling, sailing, boating and reading. Participated in many senior olympics winning many gold, silver and bronze medals in swimming. Edward was a claims adjuster for Commercial Union Ins. Co. and Employers Liability Ins. Co. for many years and then was employed by 1 Beacon St. Ins. Co. also as an adjuster. He was a graduate of Boston English High School and Northeastern Law School. He retired as a Chief Warrant officer in the Army. A veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific and many years in the reserves.
