Edward J. Rowan, Jr.

Rowan, Edward J., Jr. of Savin Hill, died April 8, 2016. 

Edward was both proud of his family and his country.  He served in the U.S. Marines during Korea.  Edward had worked as a printer and belonged to the Printer Local #1 for over  32 years, prior to working for Boston Sewer & Water.  He was a member of the D.A.V. and Quincy Lodge of Elks.  Edward will be remembered for his colorful outgoing personality, positive attitude, and generous nature.

Beloved father of Ann F. Rowan of Quincy, Edward J. Rowan, III of Quincy, and Kathleen Burke, BPD and her husband Kevin of Dorchester.  Former husband of Louise (Cooper).  Brother of Elizabeth Zanca of Stoneham, James Gillespie of CT, and the late William Rowan.  Nephew of Thomas Rowan of Milton.  Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM.  Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
