Lewando, Edward J. of Hingham and Harwich, passed away April 9, 2017.
Ed was born in Boston and was a longtime resident of Hingham for 41 years and Harwich. He worked for Quincy Vocational Technical High School as an Instructor of Plumbing for many years. He belonged to many associations such as Local 12 Union in Boston, the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, MA Teacher’s Association and MA Vocational Association. Ed was an Apprentice Program Instructor for the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, along with working for the Plumber’s Union for 56 years. He loved to work in the yard, attending sports events, reading the newspaper and, more recently, especially spending time with his beloved grandson, Joseph. He will be remembered for his hard work, good heart, his kindness and dedication to his family. Ed will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love him
Loving husband of 45 years to Cynthia Lewando of Hingham. Cherished father to Jonathan Lewando and his wife Stacey of Hanover. Brother to Robert Lewando of Westwood, and the late Carol McDermott Graham. “Grampy” to Joseph Lewando of Hanover. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham. Burial in Hingham Cemetery, Hingham.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edward may be made to a charity of your choice.
