Edward J.Joyce  of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, died September 2, 2013. 

His life revolved around his family and friends.  He enjoyed golfing, boating, and skiing in his early years.  An avid sports fan he particularly enjoyed the Red Sox and Patriots. In addition to being a United States Army Veteran, Ed owned and operated Metro Glass in Dorchester.  He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, generosity and loyalty. 

Beloved husband of Carolyn (Campbell) Joyce of Quincy. Loving father of Michael and his wife Joan of Plymouth, Robert and his wife Nikki of Rockland, Francis and his wife Karyn of Weymouth, and Kerri Joyce of Quincy.  Brother of Thomas, William, Maureen Swanson, Francis, Eileen Hansen, Joseph and the late John and Richard.  Papa to Brendan, Keelin, Madden, Kyle, and Haley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to The Boston Home, 2049 Dorchester Ave., Boston, MA 02124, his home for the last few years.
