Edward J. “Jock” Lynch

Edward J. “Jock” Lynch of Weymouth, died December 14, 2021 at the age of 97.

Jock grew up in Dorchester and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. After meeting the love of his life, Jock and his wife moved to their home in Weymouth where he still resided to this day.  He had a love for the beach and spent much time at his summer home in Dennisport on the Cape. Jock worked as an insurance underwriter for Travelers Insurance for many years. He was an avid fan of the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Beloved husband of the late Mary A. (Lennon) Lynch. Loving father of Michael Lynch and his wife MaryEllen of Norton, Monica Lynch of Rockland, and Brian Lynch and his wife Brandie of Halifax.  Proud grandfather of Alison, Connor, Kristin, Jack and Sarah. Brother of the late Margaret Kenney.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
