Edward J. Geran

Geran, Edward J. of East Dennis, formerly of Weymouth, died January 13, 2014 at the age of 83.

A former Catholic priest, Ed served as a missionary in Brazil. Later, he worked as an accountant for the State Treasury Office in Boston. Ed was a family man. He enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time at the beach.

Beloved husband of Lucille R. (Comeau) Geran. Loving father of MaryBeth McCarthy and her husband Ed of Weymouth. Cherished “Grampy” of Eddie, Ryan and Brendan. Brother of the late Marjorie Davin, John Geran, and Edith Mahoney. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
