Edward J. Davies

Davies, Edward J. of Hanover, died February 11, 2014. He was 85.

Edward was raised in Braintree, graduating from Braintree High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Edward worked as a skilled carpenter for many years, retiring in 1993. In his early years he enjoyed traveling, exploring many areas of Europe. He also enjoyed gardening and bingo. Edward will be remembered as a kind and devoted family man. 

Beloved husband of the late Virginia M. (Gallo) Davies. Devoted father of Deborah Hall of Brockton, Richard Davies of Norwood, Daniel Davies of Bridgewater, Dana Davies of Brockton and the late Donna Deon. Cherished grandfather of  16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Loving brother of Henry Davies of Braintree, Arthur Davies of Braintree, Jack Davies of Bridgewater, William Davies of Bridgewater, Beverly Lindquist of Braintree and the late Marion Mulloy, Donald Davies and Arlene Hughes. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
