Edward E. Kerr

Edward E. Kerr, of South Weymouth, formerly of Manhattan, NY, died October 4, 2018.

Edward proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Service Award. He worked as an operating engineer with Local 15 in NYC for over 50 years. Edward was a member of the Weymouth Elks and longtime parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. He enjoyed travel, especially wintering in Florida, playing cards, golf and spending time with his family.  

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (O’Hara) Kerr. Devoted father of Roseann McNamara and her husband Chuck of Canton, Dori Hughes of Hanover, Helen Grupe and her husband Peter of NY and Phyllis Ferro of NJ. Loving brother of James Kerr of NY and the late William Kerr and Margaret Durk. Cherished Grandpa of Charles Jr., Michael, Matthew, Peter, Kara, Jessica, Nicholas, Christopher, Justin and great-grandchildren Anthony and Julia. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11:30 AM.

Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
