Edna R. Barden

Barden, Edna R. (Fromm) of N. Quincy, formerly of S. Boston, November 28, 2009. Beloved wife of William L. Barden of N. Quincy. Loving mother of Donna McSorley and her husband Peter of Braintree and Ronald W. Barden of N. Quincy. Cherished grandmother of Peter McSorley of NY, Kaitlyn and Kara McSorley, both of Braintree and Kelly, Ronald “RJ” and Mikey Barden, all of N. Quincy. Great grandmother of Nicholas and Connor McSorley of NY. Loving sister of Bertha Zarnoch of S. Boston and the late Anna, William “Buddy”, Virginia, Josephine, Leo, Dorothy, Patricia, Jean and Donald. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Edna enjoyed life and her family was most important. She loved family gatherings, telling stories, cooking, entertaining and laughing. She and her husband took many trips together. They embarked on several cruises and spent many winters together in Florida. Edna was beautiful, passionate, giving and had a wonderful sense of humor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury.
