Morrissey, Edmund V. “Ed” of Carver, died June 29, 2020.
Ed worked as a truck driver and drove limousines part time for many years and recently retired and became your friendly Lyft driver. He was a people’s person and made friends wherever he went. Ed was a talented cook and an award winning wine maker. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, family dinners and taking trips to Florida and the White Mountains in NH. Ed’s main passion in life was his family and spending time with those he loved. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Beloved husband of 30 years to Barbara Morrissey. Loving father of Christopher Davis, Gary Davis, Jeanette Ellison and the late Tammi Morrissey. Cherished stepfather of Brian Berquist. Devoted Grampy of 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Caring brother of Laura Morrissey, Sheila Eaton, Michael Morrissey, Janice Morrissey and the late Paula Nuttell and Linda Lopez. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
For your health and safety, there are COVID-19 precautions in place, Face coverings must be worn and the number of guests in the funeral home at a time will be monitored.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
