Edmund J. Cannata

Cannata, Edmund J. of Canton, August 28, 2007. Father of the late Edmund J. Cannata, Jr. and his wife Barbara (McDonald) Cannata of Canton and the late John Cannata. Brother of Paul Cannata and his wife Maryanne of Quincy, William Cannata and his wife Carol and his sister Mary Eldredge all of Chatham. Edmund is also survived by his 2 grandchildren Alexis & Eric Cannata both of Canton. Edmund is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 10:30am. Visitation will be prior to the service begining at 9:30am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Thursday at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. W.W.II & Korean War United States Navy Veteran. Edmund grew up in Dorchester and also lived in Quincy. He spend more than 20 years in Canton.Ed graduated from Boston College High School and attended Boston College for 2 years. He served in the United States Navy during W.W.II as well as the Korean conflict. He worked for American Motors in Norwood in the position as a sales associate for more than 40 years retiring back in 1980. After his retirement from American Motors, he began working at Boch Motors in the accounting department for several years. He enjoyed Castle Island with his friends and was an avid tennis player. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Rest in peace.
