Edmund F. “Edso” Brady, Sr.

Edmund F.”Edso” Brady, Sr. of South Boston, passed away on January 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Husband of Anna Brady of Quincy. Cherished father of Lorraine Brady of Braintree, Christine Lynch of Quincy and her late husband John Lynch, Jr., Edmund F. Brady, Jr. and his wife Angela of Dracut and the late Donna Brady. Brother of Dorothy Collins of Ft. Meyers, FL and his late twin William Brady, and brothers Joseph and John Stoddard. Devoted grandfather to John P. Lynch III and Nicholas E. Brady. Eddy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.

A proud Air Force veteran, specializing in Judo and self defense training.  Eddy worked as a truck driver and bartender for many years. In his free time he enjoyed playing softball, watching sports on TV, as well as cheering on his grandsons at their games. His favorite past time was relaxing in the sun, spending time with his family and socializing with his friends.  He had a very special place in his heart for animals especially his cat Mickey.  Eddy will be remembered as a hard working, devoted family man who loved singing “New York, New York”  He will never be forgotten for he will live in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
