Govoni, Edith (Nota) of Quincy, died September 16, 2014.
Beloved wife of the late George A. Govoni. Loving mother of George A. Govoni, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Marshfield, Joanne Rucki and her husband Greg of Franklin, John Govoni and his wife Phyllis of Norfolk, Michael Govoni and his wife Donna of Hanson and Tricia Govoni of New York. Edith was predeceased by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Edith was born in Boston and raised and educated in East Boston. She settled in Quincy where she and her husband raised their family. Edith enjoyed Bingo, cooking and trips to Foxwoods. Most of all Edith loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
