Edith C. “Candy” Albanese

Edith C. “Candy” Albanese of South Boston and Dorchester, died January 11, 2023 at the age of 77.

Candy enjoyed her work as a dispatcher for Alarm Central in Quincy for the last 25 years. She found great pleasure taking trips to Foxwoods and going out to dinner with family and friends. Her favorite meal was lobster. Candy had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great story teller. Most of all, she loved being a mom and an aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Cherished mother of Jennifer L. Albanese of Weymouth.  Loving sister of William Albanese of Carver, the late Elaine Montoya, the late Michael Albanese, the late John Albanese, the late Linda Gathers, and Angela Melchin of Hingham. Dear friend of Judy Ashman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Donations in memory of Candy may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Anna’s Place, Dedham, MA 02026.
