Edgar F. Powers

Powers, Edgar F., age 94, of Milton, died on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Beloved husband of 50 years to Mimi (Sullivan) Powers of Milton. Loving son of the late Edgar Powers and Alexrina (Lyon) Powers. Edgar’s life was devoted to his loving wife. They shared many marvelous years of happiness together. A beach lover, the Powers had a summer house at Hampton Beach, NH. They enjoyed traveling and taking care of their home. Educated at Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WV, he joined the Army in 1940 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was proud of his service and kept in touch with his many Army friends at various reunions. Mr. Powers was a third generation owner of his family business, Powers Asthma Manufacturing of Boston. He will be remembered as being loveable, sweet, caring and delightful. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY, Thursday at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
