Earl Francis Penwarden, of Brockton, formerly of Wrentham and Quincy, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. He was 85.
Earl was born in Allston on December 5, 1939. He was raised in Roxbury and was the son of the late Ray S. Penwarden and Catherine (Cox) Driscoll.
Earl loved superheroes, and he was one, too! His favorites were Captain America, Batman and Superman. He loved holidays more than anyone and always looked forward to birthday parties. Earl was always happy and easy going. Pictures were his life. He loved pictures of his family and friends, Elvis Presley, cowboys, and superheroes. Anyone he loved, Earl wanted to keep their pictures with him, always. Earl also enjoyed WWE, going to Elvis impersonator concerts, and doing crafty things like coloring.
Earl was the cherished brother of Ray Penwarden and his wife Joanne of Quincy, and the late Joan Montford and the late William Penwarden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many dear friends and caregivers.
Following cremation, Earl’s funeral services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Earl’s name to Holy Trinity Parish, 227 Sea Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
