Dudley W. Letson, Iii

Letson, Dudley W., III, a retired police officer, of Hingham, passed away April 3, 2010. Beloved husband of Joan M. (Murdock) Letson. Loving father of Catherine Fisher of Andover, Dudley W. Letson, IV & his wife Trisha of Medway, and Joanna & her husband Brad Sands of Weymouth. Devoted “Pa” to Benjamin R. Adam C. & Jonathan Fisher; Bill & Jeremy Letson; and Nate, Madeline, Lydia Rose & Neil Sands. Brother of Barbara Gong of Scituate, Robert Letson of Quincy and Bruce Letson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his dog April Love. Dudley proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950 to 1959. He later worked as a Hingham Police officer and a State Police Officer, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Hingham Sons of Italy, Hull VFW, Weymouth DAV, Old Colony Civil War Round Table, Rockland Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and the 5th MA Artillery War Re-enactment Group. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday from Noon to 1 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by a graveside service in Hingham Cemetery.
