Dr. Marie-France Demierre

Demierre, Marie-France, M.D of Quincy, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. The beloved wife of Maurizio Cattaneo. Devoted mother of Francoise and Christian Cattaneo both of Quincy. Loving daughter of Winny Schansman of Groningen and the late Jean-Marc Demierre. Cherished sister of Jean-Luc Demierre of Montreal. Sister in law of Simona Wheller of Washington, DC, Patricia Ceccoro of Italy and Claudia Cattaneo of Canada. Daughter in law of Edvina and Vittorio Cattaneo. Dr. Demierre was a dedicated dermatologist who specialized in melanoma and cutaneous T cell lymphoma patients. She was well loved by all her patients, students and collegues. Marie-France will be remembered as a vibrant young woman who had the ability to brighten every life she touched. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday, April 16, 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday, April 17, prior to the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 227 Sea St. Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dr. Demierre may be made to the Marie-France Demierre Memorial Fund at Boston Medical Center.
