Hookway, Dr. Harold H.”Chip”, of Hull and formerly of Framingham, June 28, 2008. Beloved father of Kerrin Frank and her husband Glenn of Burlington, Bill Hookway of Worcester, Kevin Hookway and his wife Carol of Natick, Cheryl Patron and her husband Matthew of Chelmsford and the late Doug Hookway. Loving “Gampa” to Jordan, Jenna and Cameron Frank, Jackson, Bethany and Mitchell Hookway, Tyler and Zachary Patron and Shannon Hookway. He was the former husband of Anne Drover of Burlington. Chip loved his family and for most of his life spent his summers in Hull surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, watching the Red Sox and especially the Fourth of July celebration in Hull. He held a special place in his heart for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Chip was known for his quick, dry wit and endearing and trusting personality. He graduated from Belmont Hill School in 1950, Tufts Dental School in 1957 and BU Medical School in the field of periodontology. Chip served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the MA Dental Society. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral mass in St. Ann’s Church, Hull, Saturday at 11 AM, with a memorial gathering at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. The U.S. Navy will present Military Honors at the conclusion of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dr. Hookway may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main Street, Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760. DIRECTIONS TO ST. ANN’S CHURCH, HULL (ALSO CALLED ST. MARY’S PARISH) From Rte 3: Take Exit 14 (Rte 228-Hingham). If coming from the North, go left at foot of ramp. If coming from the South, go right at foot of ramp. After crossing the intersection of Rte 53, you will be on Rte 228 (Main Street). Travel for 4 miles. You will come to a three island intersection (yellow colonial house straight in front of you) Rte 228 bears off to the right. Stay on Rte 228. Follow Rte 228 into Hull. It will take you to the beginning of Nantasket Beach. Follow Nantasket Avenue for approx 1.5 miles. Look for Lewis Street on your right. You’ll see a telephone pole with a green stret sign saying, “Senior Center”. Take that right onto Lewis Street. Church is on corner of Samoset Avenue and Lewis Street.
