Watson of Dorchester and Linda Watson-Lund of North Quincy and the late Betty Ann “Bunny” Watson and Douglas “Tiny” Watson, Jr. Brother of the late William, George & Harry Watson. Dear Friend of Virginia Galvin of Quincy. Grandfather of Michael L. Watson, Jr, Karen M. & Keri A. Watson all of Boston, Heather A. Watson of Quincy, Laurie L. Lund of North Quincy and Lindsay L. Lund of New York. Mr. Watson is also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 7:00 PM. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Watson may be made to Beacon Hospice- Pallative Care, 529 Main St. Charlestown, MA 02129. Douglas A. Watson age 89 of North Quincy died Tuesday Oct. 3 at the Marina Bay Skilled Nursing facility in Quincy. Douglas was born in Dundee, Scotland and came to the United States at the age of 3. He attended Boston Public Schools. He started his business – Watson Brothers Auto service in Dorchester in 1935. He married the late Lillian (Kight) Watson in 1938. He was very proud when he became a United States Citizen in 1942. Mr. Watson owned and operated Watson Brothers Auto Service in Dorchester with his two sons for more than 70 years. Douglas enjoyed social dances which were regularly held at the Quincy VFW Post and also at the Viking Club in Braintree. He attend his last dance just 4 months ago. Mr. Watson also enjoyed boating, fishing and flea markets. He love to travel and visited Scotland, France, Ireland, Florida and California.
