Douglas R. Bennett

Bennett, Douglas R. “Doug” of Weymouth, passed away February 13, 2023. Doug was born in Boston to the late Pearl and Douglas Bennett. He grew up in West Roxbury and attended Boston Technical High School. Doug worked for many years as a Field Engineer in Telecommunications, most notably retiring from Avaya. He enjoyed photography, mentoring his colleagues and traveling with his wife to Italy and other destinations. 

Beloved husband of 38 years to Maryellen C. Bennett of Weymouth. Loving brother of Richard A. Bennett and his wife Diane of Tyngsboro. Cherished Uncle of Krystina Popplewell and her husband Ryan of Amherst, NH and Scott Centurino and his wife Victoria of Sharon. Also the great uncle of Ryan, Collin and Bailee Mae Popplewell. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So.
