Douglas P. Morrill Jr.

Morrill, Douglas P., Jr. of Quincy, died May 7, 2016.

Douglas was a member of the Greatest Generation. He was born in Brookline, Mass. Raised in Quincy and died at the age of 91 years old surrounded by the love, comfort and dignity of his devoted family. 

Beloved husband of 68 years to his late wife Frances (Marrocco) Morrill, native of Quincy. Loving father of Douglas P. Morrill III and his wife Dr. Kathleen (Masterson) Morrill. Cherished grandfather of Megan, Kaitlin, and Rebecca Morrill all of Quincy. Beloved son of the late Douglas P. Morrill Sr., WWI veteran (France) and the late Anna (Granger) Morrill. Brother of the late Herbert H. Morrill 

WWII veteran USMC wounded Iwo- Jima. Doug graduated from the class 1942 North Quincy High School. He was drafted into World War II as an Army Medical Corp, serving in the South Pacific. He summered at a young age, at the family home, located at “Goose Cove” Annisquaum, Mass until 2005. He was an avid sports fan, devoted in his faith, and a proud grandfather and patriot. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
