Dorothy M. Siroonian

Siroonian, Dorothy M. (Herweck) “Dottie” of Weymouth, died June 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Boston but at an early age was raised in Weymouth by her foster parents, Edward and Grace Keefe. Dottie attended Weymouth schools graduating from Weymouth High in 1952, after which she attended the Willford Academy for hairdressing. She worked as a hairdresser at the Frank McKenny Salon in North Weymouth for a number of years before retiring to become a full time Mom at home. Dottie was a phenomenal cook and was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends at her dinner table especially during the holidays.  She enjoyed traveling frequently with her husband, which included spending time in Florida each winter and summers at the family home in Pocasset on the Cape.

Beloved wife of Barkev “Bud” Siroonian of Weymouth. Devoted mother of Lisa Lewis and her husband Charles of Abington, Steve Siroonian and his wife Elaine of Hanover, Gregory Siroonian and his wife Anne-Marie of Monument Beach and Mark Siroonian and his wife Dianne of Duxbury. Cherished Grandma of Joshua and wife Elise, Jared, Gabrielle, Emily, Allie, Gregory, Olivia, Donia, Ben and great-granddaughter Caroline. Sister of Arthur Herweck of FL and Arnold Herweck of Fall River.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452
