Dorothy M. Mcnamara

McNamara, Dorothy M. of Dorchester, formerly of Quincy, died on May 21, 2010. She was 88. Beloved sister of Katherine McIntire of Dorchester and the late Mary M. Coughlan and John McNamara. Devoted aunt of Marilyn F. Conron of FL, William C. McIntire of Marshfield, Claire M. McIntire of So Boston, Paul G. McIntire of NY and the late Herbert H. Coughlan, Jr. Also lovingly survived by 8 grand nieces and nephews and 9 great-grand nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born in Everett and lived in Quincy most of her life, graduating from Quincy High School. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Quincy and was active in their Senior Citizens Group. In her early years she loved to travel with friends and family. Her family describes her as a devoted aunt, always taking a proud role in each of their lives. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 5 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to St. Marys’ Church 95 Crescent St. West Quincy, MA 02169 or to a charity of your choice.
