DeForge, Dorothy “Dot” (DeFazio) of Quincy, died on Monday, September 21, 2009 surrounded by her family. Wife of the late Donald DeForge. Loving mother of John DeForge and his wife Diana of Quincy and the late Robert DeForge. Sister of Albert DeFazio and his wife Peggy of Quincy and Joan & Ethel DeFazio both of AZ. Cherished grandmother of Melissa Spezzano, Robert Boudreau and Samantha DeForfe. Dot is also survived by many nieces, nephews and all her foster grandchildren at the Wollaston School. She spent many years in Dorchester before moving to Quincy in 1965. Dot worked as a Senior Clerk at Arbella Insurance for 20 years before retiring back in 1994. She enjoyed the simple things in life, bowling at Olindy’s, watching game shows and walking and pets. She attended Mass at St. Ann’s Church daily. Dot was a foster grandparent at the Wollaston School. As a resident of 91 Clay St., she will be remembered as a great neighbor and a dear friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all those who fortunate to call her friend. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 4 -8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Thursday, September 24, 2009 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Dot may be made to Partners Hospice, 281 Winter St. Suite 200, Waltham, MA 02451-8713 .
