Dorothy M. Colgate

Dorothy M. (Griffin) Colgate, longtime resident of Weymouth and West Harwich, died July 24, 2020. She was 98.

Dottie enjoyed baking and knitting. She was happiest while reminiscing with family and friends over a cup of tea. Recently she could be found participating in the daily activities at Fenno House and John Adams Healthcare. Dottie will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and impeccable sense of style. She will be deeply missed.

Beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Colgate. Devoted mother of Paul Colgate and his wife Deborah of Whitman and the late June Milchunes and her husband Kevin of Middleboro. Cherished Nani of Karen, David, Angela, Stephanie, Allison, Emily, Paula, Paul and 5 great-grandchildren. Great-great Nani of 1 (soon to be 2) great-great grandchildren. Loving sister of the late Herbert Griffin and Lorraine Grimaldi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday 9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.

Covid precautions will be in place. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged.
