Bradley, Dorothy (Martin) of Quincy, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on December 25, 2016.
Dorothy’s life was firmly centered around her family and her faith. She was widowed at an early age and independently raised 8 children. As a devout Catholic, she was an active member of St. Joseph’s Parish, including volunteering in the choir. Dorothy was a woman of her convictions and was one of the original members of D.O.V.E (Domestic Violence Ended) and an active member of MA Right to Life. She was known as “Nana” to all and will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, gentleness and elegance.
Beloved wife of the late John G. Bradley. Loving mother of Michael Bradley and his wife Rebecca of CA, Mary Pat Moskowitz and her husband Charles of Hanover, Cate Bradley and her late loved one Mike Smith of AZ, Maggie Bradley and her husband Rob Weinstein of CA, Theresa Diao and her husband Dr. Edward of CA, Patrick Bradley and his wife Ellen of Braintree, John Bradley, Jr. and his loved one Marie of Braintree, and Celeste McGlone and her husband Jack of Quincy. Sister of Marguerite Jordan of Quincy, and the late Robert E. Martin, Jr., and Celeste DiMambro. Cherished “Nana” to Slater & John Patrick Bradley, Jessica & Michael Sattler, Ted & Andrew Billings, Alan & Matthew Weinstein, Catherine, Julia & Conrad Diao, Mary Kate, Michael & Christine Bradley, Joseph Bradley, JJ & Scottie McGlone and great grandchildren Elizabeth, Charlotte and William Sattler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury, along with her beloved parents, Catherine & Robert Martin.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to MA Citizens for Life, 529 Main Street, Suite 1M9, Boston, MA 02129.
