Dorothy L. O’Brien

O’Brien, Dorothy L. (Rasch) of Rockland, passed away on January 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy worked as a nurse for several years at Carney Hospital where she also was a graduate of Carney Hospital School of Nursing. She was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.

Beloved wife of the late James J. O’Brien. Loving mother of  Kevin O’Brien of Norfolk and his former wife Kathy, Gary O’Brien and his wife, Susan, of Rockland, Russell O’Brien of Middleboro, Doug O’Brien and his wife, Chez, of Abington, Maribeth Downes and her husband, Rick, of LaQuinta, CA, Matthew O’Brien and his wife, Terri of Rockland, and Kathy Killory and her husband, Danny, of Walpole. Sister of John Rasch of TN, George Rasch of Cape Cod, and the late Virginia Donovan. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
