Campbell, Dorothy L. “Dottie” of Hingham,  born on  July 2, 1931, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 30, 2024, she was 92.  Wife of the late Robert Campbell. Mother of Michael Coscia of Quincy, James Coscia of Hingham and Robert Campbell of Hingham and his partner Patti Hayes of Seekonk, MA. Daughter of the late Dino Pizzelli and Mildred (Canali) Pizzelli. Sister of the late Denis Pizzelli, David Pizzelli and Daniel Pizzelli. Nona to James Coscia, Daniel Coscia, Nicole Coscia and the late Jason Coscia. Dorothy is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, her beloved Tucker.

Dottie worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Hingham Public Schools for several years. She then worked for the Second District Court of Plymouth in Hingham Massachusetts for over 25 years where she rose to the position of Assistant Clerk.

Dorothy was a devoted Catholic and a faithful parishioner of St Paul’s Church. Her faith led her to make two pilgrimages to visit Our Lady of Medjugorje.

Dot enjoyed everything from playing Bingo and doing puzzles to basking in the sun. She also loved spending time with her morning coffee group, walking along the beach and watching her many “judge show” television programs. She especially enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slot machines.

In the past several years, the thing that she loved most was spending time with her beloved furry friend Tucker, a Goldendoodle who was always by her side.

Funeral services are private. Dorothy’s family will have a Funeral Mass in the summer which will be announced at a later date.

Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.

In lieu of flowers, donation in memory of Dorothy may be made to St. Paul’s Church, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA. 02043.
